Did you know that most adults have never been educated on the proper methods to brushing and flossing? Several months back we posted a blog that detailed exactly how to properly brush. Why has that education never been provided?  First, it was not until the 1940’s that Charles C. Bass began to study brushing and created the Bass method.  Before then, even dentists did not have a great grasp on how to properly brush.

Sports Injuries, Mouthguards, and Your Child’s Oral Health

Does your child play sports?  If so, you are probably aware that there is a risk for mouth injuries in sports.  We hear so much about oral injuries as it relates to football, sometimes so much that it prevents us from seeing how prevalent it is in other sports. Many studies have shown the high levels of occurrence of oral injuries in basketball, skating, hockey, and gymnastics.

Ponte Vedra Dental Crowns in One Day

A dental crown is indicated in many different situations.  Commonly, when a tooth has decayed it will receive a filling.  When the decay has reached a crucial level, a simple restoration often will not suffice.  A crown can be used in many situations and can provide support for the tooth by encasing it circumferentially.
